Terry Nebelsick has spoken to over 80 organizations and provided in-service presentations in over 60 school districts. Terry taught English and coached in Artesian and Gregory. He was a radio sportscaster in Winner. He served as a high school principal for 25 years in Salem/McCook Central, Lead Deadwood, and Huron. Nebelsick was the Huron superintendent for his final 10 years, before retiring in 2021. Terry has served the past four governors on education committees, and still currently serves on the SD Board of Educational Standards, and Chairs the South Dakota School Finance Accountability Board, assuring that teachers pay moves up in compliance with law. He has been South Dakota's "Outstanding Superintendent of 2020". Terry was a high school and college basketball referee for 35 years, named "SD Official of the Year" in 2011 by the South Dakota Coaches Association.
He has titled his remarks, "We Got Em - Creating Student-Centered Learning".
