Milbank Elementary Families: We’re excited to welcome back all students and fill our classrooms again! Below are some informational items to start the year off. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out anytime. We’re looking forward to another great school year! Lunch Menu: the lunch menu has been posted to the school’s Facebook page and the app. A copy will be sent home with your child this week. Snack Grant: we have been awarded the fresh fruit and veggie snack grant again this year. We will serve a fresh snack Wednesdays - Fridays until the grant runs out. If your child would like a snack on Mondays - Tuesdays, they are welcome to bring one. Drop off/ Pick up: drop off and pick up will continue to run the same as previous years. For new parents, we will use the main entrance for morning arrival. For afternoon pick up, K-1 will dismiss out of the North doors. 2nd Grade will be located on the sidewalk between entrances. 3rd - 5th grade students will be staged along the first curve of the loop. Parking: the front row of the parking lot will be open for parents. If you are unsure how the loop works, you may park in the lot to see how the system works. Please walk across the road to pick up your child. Additionally, please keep all driving lanes open in the parking lot by using a legal parking space to keep traffic moving and students safe. Dress code: students can wear shorts to begin the year; however, please do not send them with open toed shoes. Once the weather cools down, we’ll send a message when shorts are no longer allowed. Tailfeather Make-up Pictures: for any student who did not get their school picture taken at registration, make-up pictures have been scheduled for Thursday, August 29.

Milbank School Families: pictured is the lunch menu for the month of August. The menu will be loaded on the App soon. Additionally, a copy of the menu will be sent home with elementary students this week.

Are you looking for summer tutoring for your child? Brenna Fredrichsen will be providing some elementary age tutoring services for reading and math in July. Sessions would take place on the following dates: 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, and 30. Please contact Mrs. Fredrichsen on or before June 30th at 605-467-0130 if you are interested.

Milbank Elementary Families: just a reminder students will be dismissed at 1:30 PM today for P/T conferences. Stop by the library when you are in school to check out the Book Fair! Finally, please check out the Lost & Found tables in the lunchroom to claim any missing items. Have a great day,

Milbank Elementary Families: Happy homecoming week! The high school student council will be selling buttons to elementary students on Wednesday, September 20 beginning at 7:45 AM in the elementary gym. There are limited quantities so they will sell on a first come first serve basis. Students will only be allowed to purchase 1 button. Each button costs $2. Please remind your child to wear their button on Friday for a chance at prize drawings! Also, if you'd like to watch your child participate in the Color Run on Thursday, September 21, please park in the high school parking lot as the elementary lot will be blocked off. Below is a schedule of times: 11:15 - JK 12:10 - 1st Grade 12:30 - Kindergarten 12:55 - Preschool 1:15 - 2nd Grade 1:30 - 3rd Grade 1:45 - 4th Grade 2:00 - 5th Grade Thank you for your donations and support of PPE and our students!

In-service / Conferences Reminder - Monday, February 13 will be a no school day for students due to teacher in-service. Conferences will be held that day, as well as Wednesday, February 15 beginning at 2:30. Please use the link on the district webpage to sign up for an open slot.

Attention Future Kindergarten Parents! Please see the attached flyer regarding our upcoming Kindergarten Screening, which will be held on Friday, January 20, by appointment.
